Fantastic Mr Fox Review

Posted: June 6, 2010 in Hollywood Wanted, Reviews

Director: Wes Anderson
Genre: Animation | Adventure | Comedy
Tagline: His life is fantastic… his wife is fantastic… his neighbors, not so fantastic.
Cast: George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Bill Murray, Willem Dafoe, Owen Wilson

What this is about: It is the story of one Mr. Fox and his wild-ways of hen heckling, turkey taking and cider sipping, nocturnal, instinctive adventures. He has to put his wild days behind him and do what fathers do best: be responsible. He is too rebellious. He is too wild. He is going to try “just one more raid” on the three nastiest, meanest farmers that are Boggis, Bunce and Bean. It is a tale of crossing the line of family responsibilities and midnight adventure and the friendships and awakenings of this country life that is inhabited by Fantastic Mr. Fox and his friends.

What I say: Ahoy for the Movie, ahoy for the plot, ahoy for the Clooney, ahoy for the shot. Excellent, excellent, excellent. What can I say about this one. Geroge Clooney has again made me stunned. Director Ander has done a GREAT job after “The Darjeeling Limited”. Fantastic Mr Fox is great about its voice makeovers and stop motion animations. This animation u can see in Chicken Run, Wallace & Gromit.

The story from beginning to end is hilarious. Absolute hilarious. Each character in the movie is introduced in a high speed and informative manner. The USP here is all the animals run, run and run. I was wrapped entirely in every conversation and each line seemed to carry so much meaning (in a light-hearted kind of way).

If you are an animation fan see this. If you are a George Clooney fan, don’t miss it. And if you are none of them, DO SEE IT. It’s my most recommended movie in animation genre. The film incorporates all the quiet, improvisational style, dry humor delivery as found in other Anderson pictures, but combined with the proletarian fluidity of the animation; the result for audiences is a gleeful trance-like holiday. 9/10

  2. Fantastic blog! Do you have any tips for aspiring writers? I’m planning to start my own website soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you advise starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m completely confused .. Any ideas? Kudos!
